We know that with a default allow posture usability is high, users can download and use applications freely. But, because of this flexibility, overall security posture is low.
CONS
This flexibility comes with a price. You’re relying on list based protection with 85 Million new malware variants being created each year, your list can not keep, up not to mention that there is always going to be a patient-zero, someone needs to get infected to update the list.

We know with a default deny posture security is very high as only approved applications and files can be used.
